Nigerian business mogul, Dangote now 23rd richest in the world

Nigerian business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, is now the 23rd richest man in the world, Forbes Magazine announced on Thursday, 6 November, 2014. 

According to the latest ranking, Dangote, with a $25 billion net worth, retained his position as Africa’s richest man. 

He has held that position for the fourth successive year. The influential Forbes Magazine rates Dangote on the list of 25 richest people in the world. 

The Nigerian businessman, with interests in cement, sugar, beverages and petrochemical, is now ranked 23 up 43rd among the 100 richest persons in the world.

Dangote is the first black man to break into the rank of top 25 richest people in the world.

I was a fool for love – Mercy Aigbe  Embattled Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, says she endured beatings from her estranged husband Lanre Gentry for a long time because of her children. In a no-holds-barred interview on BroadwayTV, Aigbe said she stayed long with Gentry despite the consistent beatings because she wanted to keep her home. “I stayed because I loved him and because every time he beats me, he would plead with me and get his family and friends to beg me. He promised regularly to change but he never did. When my husband gets angry, he gets physical, not only to me but to anyone. He has done that with my house help who reported him to the Police years ago. I stayed because of my children and because a lot of people look up to me.
